Issue #13
Dottie Bowen; Manager of Customer Success
Hello there! You might have noticed we've changed a few things around here--including our look!
The Work Truck Solutions Customer Success Team has been hard at work, taking to heart the old adage "new year, new you." We feel so confident in our service levels for 2024, that we wanted to take 2025 by the wheel and do it all again, BUT BETTER. We plan on taking our first year of the Monthly Mile Marker and adding in more training; more feature walk throughs; more ideas from the field; and more information to help you--our dealers--become even more successful this year.
We thank you for taking this journey with us, and are so excited to elevate our service. Keep a look out for each month's issue!
Josh Iverson; Customer Success Manager II
Hey Truck Pros!
Welcome to "The CSM Corner," your monthly dose of tips to boost your Work Truck Solutions (WTS) success.
This month: your Customer Success Manager (CSM) – your personal WTS expert.
Why those CSM calls matter.
Busy? We get it. But those check-ins are key to:
Staying ahead: Get the latest platform updates and insider tips to stay competitive.
Solving problems: Quick solutions and expert guidance for any platform challenges.
Strategizing: Collaborate on ideas to drive more commercial sales.
What to discuss with your CSM?
Maximize your CSM time. Talk about:
Market insights: What are you seeing locally? Sharing this helps your CSM tailor support. Are you seeing a rise in demand for specific truck types?
OEM updates: Keep your CSM informed about any OEM changes for accurate platform data. Are there new incentives or model year updates?
Industry trends: Discuss industry shifts to proactively adapt and capitalize on opportunities. Think about changes in technology or regulations.
Performance analysis: Review your platform data together to pinpoint areas for improvement. Analyze lead generation or conversion rates.
Future planning: Share your dealership goals so your CSM can help you achieve them. Are you looking to expand your market reach?
Proactive communication is crucial!
Don't wait for scheduled calls. Reach out with questions, concerns, or ideas. And when your CSM calls, answer! They're trying to help, and quick communication prevents problems. Can't answer? A quick "I'll call you back" goes a long way.
Is the right person being contacted?
Make sure your CSM is connecting with the best point of contact. If someone else should be involved, let your CSM know. A quick "Hey, my colleague [name] now handles [area] – please include them on future calls" improves communication.
This Month's Action Item:
Schedule a quick chat with your CSM today. Even 15 minutes can make a difference. Discuss one key area for improvement or a specific challenge. Bonus: Ensure your CSM has the correct contact information for everyone involved in WTS discussions.
Stay Tuned!
We're here to help you drive commercial success!

"Commercial Insights" highlights the challenge of understanding the commercial vehicle market. This week's focus is on why businesses choose specific dealerships when trucks and prices are similar. The overwhelming response from construction and underwater engineering companies was "Warranty". These businesses need reliable trucks to avoid downtime, and they expect dealerships to stand behind their products with reasonable warranties.

I just had my first international travel experience with some friends who are also Work Truck employees. I first saw Seoul, South Korea, to bring in the New Year. They have a modern architecture that frames the palaces that still stand the test of time within the city. I also took a tour of the DMZ and learned more about its history and how our country influences theirs. Then, I went to Japan to see Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Going from Tokyo, one of the most fast-paced cities with transportation always leaving on the dot, to Osaka with its rich history and seeing a whale shark in an aquarium, to Kyoto with its historic districts and having some of the best matcha in my life, including matcha beer.
