Say ‘Hello’ to Robert Torres, our October Dealer Spotlight!
How long has Victorville Chevrolet Cadillac been serving the community?
Robert: Victorville Chevrolet has been serving the high desert community for 6 years. Our commercial department opened November 1st, 2022.
What is Victorville Chevrolet Cadillac’s favorite way to give back to the local area?
Robert: We sponsor local schools and sports teams, we host school supply giveaways, gather donations for disaster victims , and sponsor numerous foundations in our area that are uplifting the residents in our communities.
What is your role at the dealership?
Robert: I am the fleet & Commercial Sales Director.
How has Work Truck Solutions helped you in your role?
Robert: I've been working with Work Truck Solutions for many years. When we opened the department here in Victorville, we had 2 trucks and 3 salespeople. We relied HEAVILY on VAST and other locator tools that WTS provides in the first few months we were here. Since then, we have fleshed out a marketing strategy that revolves around our WTS site by retargeting customers from competitors and tracking intent signals to push out Fleet website to as many people as possible.
What's your favorite thing about working with Work Truck Solutions?
Robert: I love that every deal is like a new puzzle. Every time we land a new account, we get to learn how they work and what their fleet needs are. It is so much more enjoyable to grow with these businesses and be a part of their success story.
What's one piece of advice you would like to give that has helped you throughout your career?
Robert: Change is inevitable. Either you adapt to it, or you are overcome by it.
Would you recommend Work Truck Solutions to other dealerships? Why?
Robert: The biggest reason for me is ROI. The amount of money I put into WTS is nothing compared to the amount of revenue on leads generated and worked through the WTS platform. The support that work truck solutions gives us is nothing short of vital to our operations. Their content team has helped us to build an experience that keeps customers on our site and generates traffic for our sales team. I can't wait to see how they innovate in the commercial truck space in the years to come. I will definitely be on board for whatever they have coming down the pipeline.
Meet the newest members of our Customer Success Team!
Meet Valeri!
Valeri grew up in Washington, DC, and has a fondness for the local springtime tradition of visiting the Cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin, which typically bloom from late March to mid-April. She is interested in trying racquetball, a fast-paced sport, but are hesitant to start due to a fear of "ball magnetism." A book that changed her perspective is one by Eckhart Tolle, particularly his emphasis on present-moment awareness and restraining the ego to avoid being trapped in cycles of anxiety and regret.
Meet Ajini!
Ajini is interested in trying pottery on the wheel as a therapeutic hobby but is currently held back by a lack of time due to balancing work, caring for twins, and managing her creative brands. If she could only have one hobby, it would be exploring cities, as it fuels her creativity and curiosity. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a book that changed her perspective by reminding her to trust her journey and believe in her purpose. The three people she would choose to have dinner with are Michelle Obama for her grace and leadership, Rihanna for her bold creativity and business acumen, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for her storytelling and voice. Her most random skill is being able to apply a full glam, camera-ready makeup look in just 10 minutes. A place she can't stop thinking about is Dubai, where she was captivated by the contrast of desert calm and city energy, the night skyline, and the souks.
Meet Mona!
Mona, a native of Iran (Persia), cherishes the local traditions of her culture, which emphasize family, celebrating, cooking, and dancing. She finds immense joy in getting together with her loved ones and enjoying delicious Persian food. The books Who Moved My Cheese? and Atomic Habits have been influential in changing her perspective. If she could only have one hobby for the rest of her life, it would be to travel the world to experience different cultures and learn new languages. Italy holds a special place in her heart. She is a proud mother to a son who will soon turn five and is bilingual in Persian and English
Meet Grace!
Grace has a strong desire to try skydiving but is held back by the fear of things going wrong, even though she still wants to experience it. The Lord of the Rings movies have had a significant impact on her perspective, as she finds them to be spiritual and relatable to her own journey of cultivating courage, faith, and letting go of ego. If she could have dinner with three people, she would choose Liam Payne (whom she considers a beautiful man), as she was a huge fan of One Direction and he was her favorite member; the band Coldplay, as they are her favorite band; and Steve Carell, because she appreciates his humor and feels it aligns with her own.
It's October, and you know what that means: time to scare ourselves silly! We asked the WTS team to unleash the digital demons (aka AI image generators) to conjure up their most bonkers, brilliant, and beautiful haunted houses. What came back were creations so crazy, they make your average suburban ghost look like a polite houseguest.
